"Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the
Lord
, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock.
3
"If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the
Lord
.
4
He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
5
Then he shall kill the bull before the
Lord
, and Aaron 's sons the priests shall bring the blood and throw the blood against the sides of the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting.
6
Then he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces,
7
and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8
And Aaron 's sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the fat, on the wood that is on the fire on the altar;
9
but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall burn all of it on the altar, as a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
10
"If his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from the sheep or goats, he shall bring a male without blemish,
11
and he shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the
Lord
, and Aaron 's sons the priests shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar.
12
And he shall cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood that is on the fire on the altar,
13
but the entrails and the legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
14
"If his offering to the
Lord
is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves or pigeons.
15
And the priest shall bring it to the altar and wring off its head and burn it on the altar. Its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar.
16
He shall remove its crop with its contents and cast it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for ashes.
17
He shall tear it open by its wings, but shall not sever it completely. And the priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the

New Living Translation
1
The
Lord
called to Moses from the Tabernacle and said to him,
2
Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you present an animal as an offering to the
Lord
, you may take it from your herd of cattle or your flock of sheep and goats.
3
If the animal you present as a burnt offering is from the herd, it must be a male with no defects. Bring it to the entrance of the Tabernacle so you may be accepted by the
Lord
.
4
Lay your hand on the animal’s head, and the
Lord
will accept its death in your place to purify you, making you right with him.
5
Then slaughter the young bull in the
Lord
’s presence, and Aaron’s sons, the priests, will present the animal’s blood by splattering it against all sides of the altar that stands at the entrance to the Tabernacle.
6
Then skin the animal and cut it into pieces.
7
The sons of Aaron the priest will build a wood fire on the altar.
8
They will arrange the pieces of the offering, including the head and fat, on the wood burning on the altar.
9
But the internal organs and the legs must first be washed with water. Then the priest will burn the entire sacrifice on the altar as a burnt offering. It is a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
10
If the animal you present as a burnt offering is from the flock, it may be either a sheep or a goat, but it must be a male with no defects.
11
Slaughter the animal on the north side of the altar in the
Lord
’s presence, and Aaron’s sons, the priests, will splatter its blood against all sides of the altar.
12
Then cut the animal in pieces, and the priests will arrange the pieces of the offering, including the head and fat, on the wood burning on the altar.
13
But the internal organs and the legs must first be washed with water. Then the priest will burn the entire sacrifice on the altar as a burnt offering. It is a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
14
If you present a bird as a burnt offering to the
Lord
, choose either a turtledove or a young pigeon.
15
The priest will take the bird to the altar, wring off its head, and burn it on the altar. But first he must drain its blood against the side of the altar.
16
The priest must also remove the crop and the feathers and throw them in the ashes on the east side of the altar.
17
Then, grasping the bird by its wings, the priest will tear the bird open, but without tearing it apart. Then he will burn it as a burnt offering on the wood burning on the altar. It is a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the
Lord
.
King James Version
1
And the
Lord
called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the
Lord
, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.
3
If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the
Lord
.
4
And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
5
And he shall kill the bullock before the

And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:
8
And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:
9
But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the
Lord
.
10
And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a male without blemish.

16
And he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:
17
And he shall cleave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the
Lord
.
