1 Chronicles 10:1-4
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 10
1
Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled from the Philistines but fell fatally wounded on Mount Gilboa.
2
And the Philistines also overtook Saul and his sons, and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchi-shua, the sons of Saul.
3
The battle became severe against Saul, and the archers found him; and he was wounded by the archers.
4
Then Saul said to his armor bearer, 'Draw your sword and thrust me through with it, otherwise these uncircumcised
Philistines
will come and abuse me.' But his armor bearer would not, for he was very afraid. So Saul took his
own
sword and fell on it.
King James Version

3
And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.
4
Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
