Chapter 13
11Then David became angry because of the Lord’S outburst against Uzza; and he called that place Perez-uzza as it is to this day. 12David was afraid of God that day, saying, 'How can I bring the ark of God home to me?' 13So David did not take the ark with him to the city of David, but took it aside to the house of Obed-edom the Gittite. 14And the ark of God remained with the family of Obed-edom in his house for three months; and the Lord blessed the family of Obed-edom and all that he had.King James Version

11And David was displeased, because the Lord had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day. 12And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me? 13So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite. 14And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. 11David was angry because of the Lord’s outburst against Uzzah, so he named that place Outburst Against Uzzah, as it is still named today. 12David feared God that day and said, "How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?" 13So David did not bring the ark of God home to the city of David; instead, he diverted it to the house of Obed-edom of Gath. 14The ark of God remained with Obed-edom’s family in his house for three months, and the Lord blessed his family and all that he had.New Living Translation
12David was now afraid of God, and he asked, 'How can I ever bring the Ark of God back into my care?'
13So David did not move the Ark into the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-edom of Gath.
14The Ark of God remained there in Obed-edom’s house for three months, and the Lord blessed the household of Obed-edom and everything he owned.
