10Ram fathered Amminadab, and Amminadab fathered Nahshon, leader of the sons of Judah; 11Nahshon fathered Salma, Salma fathered Boaz, 12Boaz fathered Obed, and Obed fathered Jesse; 13and Jesse fathered Eliab his firstborn, then Abinadab, the second, Shimea, the third, 14Nethanel, the fourth, Raddai, the fifth, 15Ozem, the sixth, and David, the seventh. 16Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the three sons of Zeruiah were Abshai, Joab, and Asahel. 17Abigail gave birth to Amasa, and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.
18Now Caleb the son of Hezron had sons by Azubah his wife, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.
19When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore to him Hur.
20Hur fathered Uri, and Uri fathered Bezalel.
21Later, Hezron had relations with the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was sixty years old; and she bore to him Segub.
22Segub fathered Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.
23But Geshur and Aram took the villages of Jair from them, with Kenath and its villages, sixty settlements. All of these were the sons of Machir, the father of Gilead.
24After the death of Hezron in Caleb-ephrathah, Abijah, Hezron’s wife, bore to him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

22And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.
23And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

21After this, Hezron slept with the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead. Hezron had married her when he was sixty years old, and she bore Segub to him.
22Segub fathered Jair, who possessed twenty-three towns in the land of Gilead.
23But Geshur and Aram captured Jair’s Villages along with Kenath and its surrounding villages—sixty towns. All these were the descendants of Machir father of Gilead.
24After Hezron’s death in Caleb-ephrathah, his wife Abijah bore Ashhur to him. He was the father of Tekoa.
