The sons of Helah
were
Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.

Koz fathered Anub and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel, the son of Harum.
9
Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez, saying, 'Because I gave birth
to him
in pain.'
10
Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, 'Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep
me
from harm so that
it
would not hurt me!' And God brought about what he requested.

And the sons of Helah were, Zereth, and Jezoar, and Ethnan.

And Coz begat Anub, and Zobebah, and the families of Aharhel the son of Harum.
9
And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
10
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

Jabez was more honored than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez and said, "I gave birth to him in pain."

Jabez called out to the God of Israel: "If only you would bless me, extend my border, let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm, so that I will not experience pain." And God granted his request.

Helah gave birth to Zereth, Izhar, Ethnan,

and Koz, who became the ancestor of Anub, Zobebah, and all the families of Aharhel son of Harum.

There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful.
10
He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, 'Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!' And God granted him his request.
