1 Corinthians 1:9-18
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 1
9God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11For I have been informed concerning you, my brothers and sisters, by Chloe’s people, that there are quarrels among you.
12Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, 'I am with Paul,' or 'I am with Apollos,' or 'I am with Cephas,' or 'I am with Christ.'
13Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
14I am thankful that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15so that no one would say you were baptized in my name!
16But I did baptize the household of Stephanas also; beyond that, I do not know if I baptized anyone else.
17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made of no effect.
King James Version
Chapter 1
9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
10Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
14I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
15Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
16And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.
17For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 1
9God is faithful; you were called by him into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
10Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.
11For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers and sisters, by members of Chloe’s people, that there is rivalry among you.
12What I am saying is this: One of you says, "I belong to Paul," or "I belong to Apollos," or "I belong to Cephas," or "I belong to Christ."
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in Paul’s name?
14I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15so that no one can say you were baptized in my name.
16I did, in fact, baptize the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t recall if I baptized anyone else.
17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with eloquent wisdom, so that the cross of Christ will not be emptied of its effect.
New Living Translation
10I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.
11For some members of Chloe’s household have told me about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters.
12Some of you are saying, 'I am a follower of Paul.' Others are saying, 'I follow Apollos,' or 'I follow Peter, ' or 'I follow only Christ.'
13Has Christ been divided into factions? Was I, Paul, crucified for you? Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul? Of course not!
14I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15for now no one can say they were baptized in my name.
16(Oh yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas, but I don’t remember baptizing anyone else.)
17For Christ didn’t send me to baptize, but to preach the Good News — and not with clever speech, for fear that the cross of Christ would lose its power.

New International Version
10I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.
11My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you.
12What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas "; still another, "I follow Christ."
13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul?
14I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15so no one can say that you were baptized in my name.
16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.)
