1 Corinthians 12:21-24
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 12
21And the eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you'; or again, the head to the feet, 'I have no need of you.' 22On the contrary, it is much truer that the parts of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary; 23and those parts of the body which we consider less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor, and our less presentable parts become much more presentable, 24whereas our more presentable parts have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that part which lacked,King James Version
Chapter 12
21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 12
21The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don’t need you!" Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, "I don’t need you!" 22On the contrary, those parts of the body that are weaker are indispensable. 23And those parts of the body that we consider less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unrespectable parts are treated with greater respect,New Living Translation
22In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.
23And the parts we regard as less honorable are those we clothe with the greatest care. So we carefully protect those parts that should not be seen,
24while the more honorable parts do not require this special care. So God has put the body together such that extra honor and care are given to those parts that have less dignity.
