Chapter 15
32If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what good is it to me? If the dead are not raised, LET’S EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE. 33Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals.' 34Sober up morally and stop sinning, for some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
35But someone will say, 'How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?'
36You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies;
37and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.
38But God gives it a body just as He wished, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.
39All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of mankind, another flesh of animals, another flesh of birds, and another of fish.
40There are also heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is one, and the glory of the earthly is another.
41There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.
42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body;
43it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
44it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45So also it is written: 'The first MAN, Adam, BECAME A LIVING PERSON.' The last Adam was a life-giving spirit.
46However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural; then the spiritual.
47The first man is from the earth, earthy; the second man is from heaven.

37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.
41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

32If I fought wild beasts in Ephesus as a mere man, what good did that do me? If the dead are not raised, Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die. 33Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals." 34Come to your senses and stop sinning; for some people are ignorant about God. I say this to your shame.
35But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? What kind of body will they have when they come?"
36You fool! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.
37And as for what you sow—you are not sowing the body that will be, but only a seed, perhaps of wheat or another grain.
38But God gives it a body as he wants, and to each of the seeds its own body.
39Not all flesh is the same flesh; there is one flesh for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.
40There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is different from that of the earthly ones.
41There is a splendor of the sun, another of the moon, and another of the stars; in fact, one star differs from another star in splendor.
42So it is with the resurrection of the dead: Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption;
43sown in dishonor, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in power;
44sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
45So it is written, The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.

Chapter 15
32And what value was there in fighting wild beasts — those people of Ephesus — if there will be no resurrection from the dead? And if there is no resurrection, 'Let’s feast and drink, for tomorrow we die!' 33Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for 'bad company corrupts good character.' 34Think carefully about what is right, and stop sinning. For to your shame I say that some of you don’t know God at all.
35But someone may ask, 'How will the dead be raised? What kind of bodies will they have?'
36What a foolish question! When you put a seed into the ground, it doesn’t grow into a plant unless it dies first.
37And what you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a bare seed of wheat or whatever you are planting.
38Then God gives it the new body he wants it to have. A different plant grows from each kind of seed.
39Similarly there are different kinds of flesh — one kind for humans, another for animals, another for birds, and another for fish.
40There are also bodies in the heavens and bodies on the earth. The glory of the heavenly bodies is different from the glory of the earthly bodies.
41The sun has one kind of glory, while the moon and stars each have another kind. And even the stars differ from each other in their glory.
42It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever.
43Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength.
44They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.
45The Scriptures tell us, 'The first man, Adam, became a living person.' But the last Adam — that is, Christ — is a life-giving Spirit.
46What comes first is the natural body, then the spiritual body comes later.
47Adam, the first man, was made from the dust of the earth, while Christ, the second man, came from heaven.

For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
35But someone will ask, "How are the dead raised? With what kind of body do they come?"

37And what you sow is not the body that is to be, but a bare kernel, perhaps of wheat or of some other grain.
