Chapter 3

16Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy that person; for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.
18Take care that no one deceives himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God. For it is written: 'He is THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE WISE BY THEIR CRAFTINESS'; 20and again, 'THE Lord KNOWS THE THOUGHTS of the wise, THAT THEY ARE useless.' 21So then, no one is to be boasting in people. For all things belong to you, 22whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come; all things belong to you, 23and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

16Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
18Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
21Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
22Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

16Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? 17God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.
18Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise.
19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, 'He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.'
20And again, 'The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.'
21So don’t boast about following a particular human leader. For everything belongs to you — 22whether Paul or Apollos or Peter, or the world, or life and death, or the present and the future. Everything belongs to you, 23and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
