Chapter 2

18Servants, be subject to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are harsh. 19For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person endures grief when suffering unjustly.

18Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward. 19For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

18Household slaves, submit to your masters with all reverence not only to the good and gentle ones but also to the cruel. 19For it brings favor if, because of a consciousness of God, someone endures grief from suffering unjustly.
