lives, the

certainly will strike him, or his day will come that he dies, or he will go down in battle and perish.

shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.

But David said to Abishai, "Don’t destroy him, for who can lift a hand against the

’s anointed and be innocent?"

David added, "As the
Lord
lives, the
Lord
will certainly strike him down: either his day will come and he will die, or he will go into battle and perish.

No!' David said. 'Don’t kill him. For who can remain innocent after attacking the
