1 Thessalonians 4:9-14
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 4
9Now as to the love of the brothers and sisters, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; 10for indeed you practice it toward all the brothers and sisters who are in all Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers and sisters, to excel even more, 11and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we instructed you, 12so that you will behave properly toward outsiders and not be in any need.
13But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as indeed the rest of mankind do, who have no hope.
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose from the dead, so also God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
King James Version
Chapter 4
9But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. 10And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more; 11And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 4
9About brotherly love: You don’t need me to write you because you yourselves are taught by God to love one another. 10In fact, you are doing this toward all the brothers and sisters in the entire region of Macedonia. But we encourage you, brothers and sisters, to do this even more, 11to seek to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12so that you may behave properly in the presence of outsiders and not be dependent on anyone.New Living Translation
Chapter 4
9But we don’t need to write to you about the importance of loving each other, for God himself has taught you to love one another. 10Indeed, you already show your love for all the believers throughout Macedonia. Even so, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you to love them even more.
11Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before.
12Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others.
13And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.
14For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.

Chapter 4
9Now concerning brotherly love you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another, 10for that indeed is what you are doing to all the brothers throughout Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers, to do this more and more, 11and to aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, 12so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.New International Version
Chapter 4
9Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, 11and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.New King James Version
