Chapter 34

13They were also in charge of the burden bearers, and supervised all the workmen from job to job; and some of the Levites were scribes, and officials, and gatekeepers.
14When they were bringing out the money which had been brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the Lord given by Moses. 15Hilkiah responded and said to Shaphan the scribe, 'I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.' And Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan. 16Then Shaphan brought the book to the king and reported further word to the king, saying, 'Everything that was entrusted to your servants, they are doing.

13Also they were over the bearers of burdens, and were overseers of all that wrought the work in any manner of service: and of the Levites there were scribes, and officers, and porters.
14And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the priest found a book of the law of the Lord given by Moses. 15And Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, I have found the book of the law in the house of the Lord. And Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan. 16And Shaphan carried the book to the king, and brought the king word back again, saying, All that was committed to thy servants, they do it.

Chapter 34

13They were also over the porters and were supervising all those doing the work task by task. Some of the Levites were secretaries, officers, and gatekeepers.
14When they brought out the silver that had been deposited in the Lord’s temple, the priest Hilkiah found the book of the law of the Lord written by the hand of Moses. 15Consequently, Hilkiah told the court secretary Shaphan, "I have found the book of the law in the Lord’s temple," and he gave the book to Shaphan.
16Shaphan took the book to the king, and also reported, "Your servants are doing all that was placed in their hands.

Chapter 34

13were put in charge of the laborers of the various trades. Still others assisted as secretaries, officials, and gatekeepers.
14While they were bringing out the money collected at the Lord’s Temple, Hilkiah the priest found the Book of the Law of the Lord that was written by Moses. 15Hilkiah said to Shaphan the court secretary, 'I have found the Book of the Law in the Lord’s Temple!' Then Hilkiah gave the scroll to Shaphan.
16Shaphan took the scroll to the king and reported, 'Your officials are doing everything they were assigned to do.
