2 Kings 23:19-24
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 23
19Then Josiah also removed all the houses of the high places which were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had constructed, provoking the Lord to anger; and he did to them just as he had done in Bethel. 20And he slaughtered all the priests of the high places who were there on the altars, and burned human bones on them; then he returned to Jerusalem.
21Then the king commanded all the people, saying, 'Celebrate the Passover to the Lord your God as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.'
22Truly such a Passover had not been celebrated since the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah.
23But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated to the Lord in Jerusalem.
King James Version
Chapter 23
19And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel. 20And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem.
21And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the Lord your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant.
22Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah;
23But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the Lord in Jerusalem.

Chapter 23
19Josiah also removed all the shrines of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to anger the Lord. Josiah did the same things to them that he had done at Bethel. 20He slaughtered on the altars all the priests of those high places, and he burned human bones on the altars. Then he returned to Jerusalem.
21The king commanded all the people, "Observe the Passover of the Lord your God as written in the book of the covenant."
22No such Passover had ever been observed from the time of the judges who judged Israel through the entire time of the kings of Israel and Judah.
23But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, the Lord’s Passover was observed in Jerusalem.
New Living Translation
Chapter 23
19Then Josiah demolished all the buildings at the pagan shrines in the towns of Samaria, just as he had done at Bethel. They had been built by the various kings of Israel and had made the Lord very angry. 20He executed the priests of the pagan shrines on their own altars, and he burned human bones on the altars to desecrate them. Finally, he returned to Jerusalem.
21King Josiah then issued this order to all the people: 'You must celebrate the Passover to the Lord your God, as required in this Book of the Covenant.'
22There had not been a Passover celebration like that since the time when the judges ruled in Israel, nor throughout all the years of the kings of Israel and Judah.
23But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah’s reign, this Passover was celebrated to the Lord in Jerusalem.
English Standard Version
Chapter 23
19And Josiah removed all the shrines also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which kings of Israel had made, provoking the Lord to anger. He did to them according to all that he had done at Bethel. 20And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.
21And the king commanded all the people, "Keep the Passover to the Lord your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant."
22For no such Passover had been kept since the days of the judges who judged Israel, or during all the days of the kings of Israel or of the kings of Judah.
23But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah this Passover was kept to the Lord in Jerusalem.
New International Version
Chapter 23
19Just as he had done at Bethel, Josiah removed all the shrines at the high places that the kings of Israel had built in the towns of Samaria and that had aroused the Lord’s anger. 20Josiah slaughtered all the priests of those high places on the altars and burned human bones on them. Then he went back to Jerusalem.
21The king gave this order to all the people: "Celebrate the Passover to the Lord your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant."
22Neither in the days of the judges who led Israel nor in the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah had any such Passover been observed.
23But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated to the Lord in Jerusalem.
New King James Version
Chapter 23
19Now Josiah also took away all the shrines of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to anger; and he did to them according to all the deeds he had done in Bethel. 20He executed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned men’s bones on them; and he returned to Jerusalem.
21Then the king commanded all the people, saying, “Keep the Passover to the Lord your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant.”
22Such a Passover surely had never been held since the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah.
23But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah this Passover was held before the Lord in Jerusalem.
24Moreover Josiah put away those who consulted mediums and spiritists, the household gods and idols, all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the Lord.
