2 Samuel 22:28-38
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 22
28And You save an afflicted people; But Your eyes are on the haughty whom You humiliate. 29For You are my lamp, Lord; And the Lord illuminates my darkness. 30For by You I can run at a troop of warriors; By my God I can leap over a wall. 31As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. 32For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? 33God is my strong fortress; And He sets the blameless on His way. 34He makes my feet like deer’s feet, And sets me on my high places. 35He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 36You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your help makes me great. 37You enlarge my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped. 38I pursued my enemies and eliminated them, And I did not turn back until they were finished off.King James Version

Chapter 22
28You rescue an oppressed people, but your eyes are set against the proud— you humble them. 29 Lord, you are my lamp; the Lord illuminates my darkness. 30With you I can attack a barricade, and with my God I can leap over a wall.
31God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.
32For who is God besides the Lord? And who is a rock? Only our God.
33God is my strong refuge; he makes my way perfect.
34He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the heights.
35He trains my hands for war; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
36You have given me the shield of your salvation; your help exalts me.
37You make a spacious place beneath me for my steps, and my ankles do not give way.
38I pursue my enemies and destroy them; I do not turn back until they are wiped out.
New Living Translation
Chapter 22
28You rescue the humble, but your eyes watch the proud and humiliate them. 29O Lord, you are my lamp. The Lord lights up my darkness. 30In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.
31'God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
32For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock?
33God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.
34He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.
35He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.
36You have given me your shield of victory; your help has made me great.
37You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

Chapter 22
28 You save a humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them down. 29 For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. 30For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. 31This God — his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. 32"For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? 33This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless. 34 He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. 35 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 36You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your gentleness made me great. 37 You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip; 38I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, and did not turn back until they were consumed.New International Version

31"As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.

33It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.
34He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.
35He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
