2 Samuel 22:29-48
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 22
29For You are my lamp, Lord; And the Lord illuminates my darkness. 30For by You I can run at a troop of warriors; By my God I can leap over a wall. 31As for God, His way is blameless; The word of the Lord is refined; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. 32For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? 33God is my strong fortress; And He sets the blameless on His way. 34He makes my feet like deer’s feet, And sets me on my high places. 35He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 36You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, And Your help makes me great. 37You enlarge my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped. 38I pursued my enemies and eliminated them, And I did not turn back until they were finished off. 39And I have devoured them and smashed them, so that they would not rise; And they fell under my feet. 40For You have encircled me with strength for battle; You have forced those who rose up against me to bow down under me. 41You have also made my enemies turn their backs to me, And I destroyed those who hated me. 42They looked, but there was no one to save them; Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them. 43Then I pulverized them as the dust of the earth; I crushed and trampled them like the mud of the streets. 44You have also saved me from the contentions of my people; You have kept me as head of the nations; A people I have not known serve me. 45Foreigners pretend to obey me; As soon as they hear, they obey me. 46Foreigners lose heart, And come trembling out of their fortresses. 47The Lord lives, and blessed be my Rock; And exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation, 48The God who executes vengeance for me, And brings down peoples under me,King James Version

Chapter 22
29 Lord, you are my lamp; the Lord illuminates my darkness. 30With you I can attack a barricade, and with my God I can leap over a wall.
31God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him.
32For who is God besides the Lord? And who is a rock? Only our God.
33God is my strong refuge; he makes my way perfect.
34He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the heights.
35He trains my hands for war; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
36You have given me the shield of your salvation; your help exalts me.
37You make a spacious place beneath me for my steps, and my ankles do not give way.
38I pursue my enemies and destroy them; I do not turn back until they are wiped out.
39I wipe them out and crush them, and they do not rise; they fall beneath my feet.
40You have clothed me with strength for battle; you subdue my adversaries beneath me.
41You have made my enemies retreat before me; I annihilate those who hate me.
42They look, but there is no one to save them— they look to the Lord, but he does not answer them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 22
29O Lord, you are my lamp. The Lord lights up my darkness. 30In your strength I can crush an army; with my God I can scale any wall.
31'God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
32For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock?
33God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.
34He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.
35He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow.
36You have given me your shield of victory; your help has made me great.
37You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.
38'I chased my enemies and destroyed them; I did not stop until they were conquered.
39I consumed them; I struck them down so they did not get up; they fell beneath my feet.
40You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued my enemies under my feet.
41You placed my foot on their necks. I have destroyed all who hated me.
42They looked for help, but no one came to their rescue. They even cried to the Lord, but he refused to answer.
43I ground them as fine as the dust of the earth; I trampled them in the gutter like dirt.

Chapter 22
29 For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. 30For by you I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall. 31This God — his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. 32"For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? 33This God is my strong refuge and has made my way blameless. 34 He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. 35 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 36You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your gentleness made me great. 37 You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip; 38I pursued my enemies and destroyed them, and did not turn back until they were consumed. 39I consumed them; I thrust them through, so that they did not rise; they fell under my feet. 40For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. 41You made my enemies turn their backs to me, those who hated me, and I destroyed them. 42They looked, but there was none to save; they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them. 43I beat them fine as the dust of the earth; I crushed them and stamped them down like the mire of the streets. 44"You delivered me from strife with my people; you kept me as the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me. 45Foreigners came cringing to me; as soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me. 46Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their fortresses. 47"The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be my God, the rock of my salvation, 48the God who gave me vengeance and brought down peoples under me,New International Version
30With your help I can advance against a troop ; with my God I can scale a wall.
31"As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.
32For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God?
33It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.
34He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.
35He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
36You make your saving help my shield; your help has made me great.
37You provide a broad path for my feet, so that my ankles do not give way.
38"I pursued my enemies and crushed them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed.
39I crushed them completely, and they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet.
40You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.
41You made my enemies turn their backs in flight, and I destroyed my foes.
42They cried for help, but there was no one to save them— to the Lord, but he did not answer.
43I beat them as fine as the dust of the earth; I pounded and trampled them like mud in the streets.
44"You have delivered me from the attacks of the peoples; you have preserved me as the head of nations. People I did not know now serve me,
45foreigners cower before me; as soon as they hear of me, they obey me.
