Acts 13:24-30
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 13
24after John had proclaimed, before His coming, a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25And while John was completing his course, he kept saying, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not He. But behold, one is coming after me, the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’
26Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent.
27For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, recognizing neither Him nor the declarations of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled these by condemning Him.
28And though they found no grounds for putting Him to death, they asked Pilate that He be executed.
29When they had carried out everything that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a tomb.
30But God raised Him from the dead;

Chapter 13
24When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
27For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.
28And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain.
29And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.
30But God raised him from the dead:

Chapter 13
24Before his coming to public attention, John had previously proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel. 25Now as John was completing his mission, he said, ‘Who do you think I am? I am not the one. But one is coming after me, and I am not worthy to untie the sandals on his feet.’
26"Brothers and sisters, children of Abraham’s race, and those among you who fear God, it is to us that the word of this salvation has been sent.
27Since the residents of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize him or the sayings of the prophets that are read every Sabbath, they have fulfilled their words by condemning him.
28Though they found no grounds for the death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him killed.
29When they had carried out all that had been written about him, they took him down from the tree and put him in a tomb.
30But God raised him from the dead,

Chapter 13
24Before he came, John the Baptist preached that all the people of Israel needed to repent of their sins and turn to God and be baptized. 25As John was finishing his ministry he asked, ‘Do you think I am the Messiah? No, I am not! But he is coming soon — and I’m not even worthy to be his slave and untie the sandals on his feet.’
26Brothers — you sons of Abraham, and also you God-fearing Gentiles — this message of salvation has been sent to us!
27The people in Jerusalem and their leaders did not recognize Jesus as the one the prophets had spoken about. Instead, they condemned him, and in doing this they fulfilled the prophets’ words that are read every Sabbath.
28They found no legal reason to execute him, but they asked Pilate to have him killed anyway.

26"Fellow children of Abraham and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
27The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.
28Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have him executed.
29When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb.
