Chapter 14
8In Lystra a man was sitting whose feet were incapacitated. He had been disabled from his mother’s womb, and had never walked. 9This man was listening to Paul as he spoke. Paul looked at him intently and saw that he had faith to be made well, 10and he said with a loud voice, 'Stand upright on your feet!' And the man leaped up and began to walk. 11When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they raised their voice, saying in the Lycaonian language, 'The gods have become like men and have come down to us!' 12And they began calling Barnabas, Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, since he was the chief speaker. 13Moreover, the priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and wanted to offer sacrifice with the crowds. 14But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard about it, they tore their robes and rushed out into the crowd, crying outKing James Version

8And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: 9The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. 8In Lystra a man was sitting who was without strength in his feet, had never walked, and had been lame from birth. 9He listened as Paul spoke. After looking directly at him and seeing that he had faith to be healed, 10Paul said in a loud voice, "Stand up on your feet!" And he jumped up and began to walk around.
11When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they shouted, saying in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come down to us in human form!"
12Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.
13The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the town, brought bulls and wreaths to the gates because he intended, with the crowds, to offer sacrifice.

8While they were at Lystra, Paul and Barnabas came upon a man with crippled feet. He had been that way from birth, so he had never walked. He was sitting 9and listening as Paul preached. Looking straight at him, Paul realized he had faith to be healed. 10So Paul called to him in a loud voice, 'Stand up!' And the man jumped to his feet and started walking.
11When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in their local dialect, 'These men are gods in human form!'
12They decided that Barnabas was the Greek god Zeus and that Paul was Hermes, since he was the chief speaker.
13Now the temple of Zeus was located just outside the town. So the priest of the temple and the crowd brought bulls and wreaths of flowers to the town gates, and they prepared to offer sacrifices to the apostles.
