Chapter 16
26and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains were unfastened. 27When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, thinking that the prisoners had escaped. 28But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, 'Do not harm yourself, for we are all here!' 29And the jailer asked for lights and rushed in, and trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas; 30and after he brought them out, he said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?'King James Version

26Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the jail were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27When the jailer woke up and saw the doors of the prison standing open, he drew his sword and was going to kill himself, since he thought the prisoners had escaped.New Living Translation

All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off! 27The jailer woke up to see the prison doors wide open.
