Acts 2:34-37
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
34
For it was not David who ascended into heaven, but he himself says:
‘THE
Lord
SAID TO MY
Lord
,
'SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND,
35
UNTIL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES A FOOTSTOOL FOR YOUR FEET.'?’
36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.'
37
Now when they heard
this,
they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brothers, what are we to do?'
King James Version
Chapter 2
34
For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The
Lord
said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
35
Until I make thy foes thy footstool.
36
Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
34
For it was not David who ascended into the heavens, but he himself says:
The Lord declared to my Lord,
‘Sit at my right hand
35
until I make your enemies your footstool.’
36
"Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah."
37
When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles: "Brothers, what should we do?"
New Living Translation
Chapter 2
34
For David himself never ascended into heaven, yet he said,
‘The
Lord
said to my Lord,
'Sit in the place of honor at my right hand
35
until I humble your enemies,
making them a footstool under your feet.'’
36
So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!'
37
Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, 'Brothers, what should we do?'
English Standard Version
Chapter 2
34

until I make your enemies your footstool."’
36
Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."
37
Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
New International Version
