Chapter 2
39For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.' 40And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on urging them, saying, 'Be saved from this perverse generation!' 41So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls. 42They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
43Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles.
44And all the believers were together and had all things in common;
45and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need.
46Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles.

45They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need.
46Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts,

39This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away — all who have been called by the Lord our God.' 40Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, 'Save yourselves from this crooked generation!'
43A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders.
44And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.
45They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need.
46They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity —
