Acts 3:15-21
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
15but put to death the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses. 16And on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
17And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your rulers also did.
18But the things which God previously announced by the mouths of all the prophets, that His Christ would suffer, He has fulfilled in this way.
19Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord;
20and that He may send Jesus, the Christ appointed for you,
21whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things, about which God spoke by the mouths of His holy prophets from ancient times.
King James Version
Chapter 3
15And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. 16And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. 18But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. 19Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; 20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: 21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 3
15You killed the source of life, whom God raised from the dead; we are witnesses of this. 16By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. So the faith that comes through Jesus has given him this perfect health in front of all of you.
17"And now, brothers and sisters, I know that you acted in ignorance, just as your leaders also did.
18In this way God fulfilled what he had predicted through all the prophets—that his Messiah would suffer.
19Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out,
20that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.
21Heaven must receive him until the time of the restoration of all things, which God spoke about through his holy prophets from the beginning.
New Living Translation
17Friends, I realize that what you and your leaders did to Jesus was done in ignorance.
18But God was fulfilling what all the prophets had foretold about the Messiah — that he must suffer these things.
19Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.
20Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord, and he will again send you Jesus, your appointed Messiah.
21For he must remain in heaven until the time for the final restoration of all things, as God promised long ago through his holy prophets.
English Standard Version
Chapter 3
15and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. 16And his name — by faith in his name — has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.
17"And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
18But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled.
19Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,
20that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus,
21whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.
New International Version
Chapter 3
15You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
17"Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.
18But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer.
19Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
20and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you—even Jesus.
21Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
New King James Version
Chapter 3
15and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. 16And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17“Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.
18But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
19Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before,
21whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.
