Daniel 2:28-31
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
28
However, there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind
while
on your bed.
29
As for you, O king,
while
on your bed your thoughts turned to what would take place in the future; and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will take place.
30
But as for me, this secret has not been revealed to me for any wisdom residing in me more than
in
any
other
living person, but for the purpose of making the interpretation known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.
31
You, O king, were watching and behold, there was a single great statue; that statue, which was large and of extraordinary radiance, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome.
King James Version
Chapter 2
28
But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;
29
As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.
30
But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.
31
Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
28
But there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and he has let King Nebuchadnezzar know what will happen in the last days. Your dream and the visions that came into your mind as you lay in bed were these:
29
Your Majesty, while you were in your bed, thoughts came to your mind about what will happen in the future. The revealer of mysteries has let you know what will happen.
30
As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but in order that the interpretation might be made known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.
31
"Your Majesty, as you were watching, suddenly a colossal statue appeared. That statue, tall and dazzling, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was terrifying.
New Living Translation
Chapter 2
28
But there is a God in heaven who reveals secrets, and he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in the future. Now I will tell you your dream and the visions you saw as you lay on your bed.
29
While Your Majesty was sleeping, you dreamed about coming events. He who reveals secrets has shown you what is going to happen.
30
And it is not because I am wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but because God wants you to understand what was in your heart.
31
In your vision, Your Majesty, you saw standing before you a huge, shining statue of a man. It was a frightening sight.
English Standard Version

29
To you, O king, as you lay in bed came thoughts of what would be after this, and he who reveals mysteries made known to you what is to be.
30
But as for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because of any wisdom that I have more than all the living, but in order that the interpretation may be made known to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your mind.
31
"You saw, O king, and behold, a great image. This image, mighty and of exceeding brightness, stood before you, and its appearance was frightening.

29
"As Your Majesty was lying there, your mind turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what is going to happen.
30
As for me, this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I have greater wisdom than anyone else alive, but so that Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that you may understand what went through your mind.
31
"Your Majesty looked, and there before you stood a large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome in appearance.
