25Now this is the inscription that was written: ‘ MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.’ 26This is the interpretation of the message: ‘MENE’—God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it. 27‘TEKEL’—you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient. 28‘ PERES’—your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.'King James Version

26This is what these words mean: Mene means ‘numbered’ — God has numbered the days of your reign and has brought it to an end.
27Tekel means ‘weighed’ — you have been weighed on the balances and have not measured up.
28Parsin means ‘divided’ — your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.'

29Then Belshazzar gave the command, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a chain of gold around his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.
