Deuteronomy 33:14-21
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 33
14
And with the choice yield of the sun,
And the choice produce of the months;
15
And with the best things of the ancient mountains,
With the choice things of the everlasting hills,
16
And with the choice things of the earth and its fullness,
And the favor of Him who dwelt in the bush.
Let it come to the head of Joseph,
And to the top of the head of the
one who was
prince among his brothers.
17
As
the firstborn of his ox, majesty is his,
And his horns are the horns of the wild ox;
With them he will gore the peoples
All at once,
to
the ends of the earth.
And those are the ten thousands of Ephraim,
And those are the thousands of Manasseh.'
18
Of Zebulun he said,
'Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out,
And, Issachar, in your tents.
19
They will call peoples
to
the mountain;
There they will offer righteous sacrifices;
For they will draw out the abundance of the seas,
And the hidden treasures of the sand.'
20
Of Gad he said,
'Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad;
He lies down as a lion,
And tears the arm, also the crown of the head.
21
Then he selected the choicest
part
for himself,
For there the ruler’s portion was reserved;
And he came
with
the leaders of the people;
He executed the justice of the
Lord
,
And His ordinances with Israel.'
King James Version
Chapter 33
14
And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,
15
And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills,
16
And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
17
His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
18
And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents.
19
They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand.
20
And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head.
21
And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the
Lord
, and his judgments with Israel.

Chapter 33
14
with the bountiful harvest from the sun
and the abundant yield of the seasons;
15
with the best products of the ancient mountains
and the bounty of the eternal hills;
16
with the choice gifts of the land
and everything in it;
and with the favor of him
who appeared in the burning bush.
May these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince of his brothers.
17
His firstborn bull has splendor,
and horns like those of a wild ox;
he gores all the peoples with them
to the ends of the earth.
Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim,
and such are the thousands of Manasseh.
18
He said about Zebulun:
Rejoice, Zebulun, in your journeys,
and Issachar, in your tents.
19
They summon the peoples to a mountain;
there they offer acceptable sacrifices.
For they draw from the wealth of the seas
and the hidden treasures of the sand.
20
He said about Gad:
The one who enlarges Gad’s territory
will be blessed.
He lies down like a lion
and tears off an arm or even a head.
21
He chose the best part for himself,
because a ruler’s portion was assigned there for him.
He came with the leaders of the people;
he carried out the
Lord
’s justice
and his ordinances for Israel.

Chapter 33
14
with the rich fruit that grows in the sun,
and the rich harvest produced each month;
15
with the finest crops of the ancient mountains,
and the abundance from the everlasting hills;
16
with the best gifts of the earth and its bounty,
and the favor of the one who appeared in the burning bush.
May these blessings rest on Joseph’s head,
crowning the brow of the prince among his brothers.
17
Joseph has the majesty of a young bull;
he has the horns of a wild ox.
He will gore distant nations,
even to the ends of the earth.
This is my blessing for the multitudes of Ephraim
and the thousands of Manasseh.'
18
Moses said this about the tribes of Zebulun and Issachar :
'May the people of Zebulun prosper in their travels.
May the people of Issachar prosper at home in their tents.
19
They summon the people to the mountain
to offer proper sacrifices there.
They benefit from the riches of the sea
and the hidden treasures in the sand.'
20
Moses said this about the tribe of Gad:
'Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad’s territory!
Gad is poised there like a lion
to tear off an arm or a head.
21
The people of Gad took the best land for themselves;
a leader’s share was assigned to them.
When the leaders of the people were assembled,
they carried out the
Lord
’s justice
and obeyed his regulations for Israel.'
