Deuteronomy 5:6-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 5
6‘I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
8‘You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of what is in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the water under the earth.
9You shall not worship them nor serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, inflicting the punishment of the fathers on the children, even on the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
10but showing favor to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
King James Version
Chapter 5
6I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 7Thou shalt have none other gods before me. 8Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: 9Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, 10And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. 11Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 12Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee. 13Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:Christian Standard Bible

8Do not make an idol for yourself in the shape of anything in the heavens above or on the earth below or in the waters under the earth.
9Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them, because I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the fathers’ iniquity to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,
New Living Translation
Chapter 5
6I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.
8You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind, or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea.
9You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected — even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.
10But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those who love me and obey my commands.
