Ephesians 3:1-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 3
1For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles— 2if indeed you have heard of the administration of God’s grace which was given to me for you; 3that by revelation there was made known to me the mystery, as I wrote before briefly. 4By referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5which in other generations was not made known to mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; 6to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel, 7of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of His power. 8To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, 9and to enlighten all people as to what the plan of the mystery is which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things; 10so that the multifaceted wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. 11This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. 13Therefore I ask you not to become discouraged about my tribulations in your behalf, since they are your glory.King James Version
Chapter 3
1For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, 2If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: 3How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
13Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

Chapter 3
1For this reason, I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— 2you have heard, haven’t you, about the administration of God’s grace that he gave to me for you? 3The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above. 4By reading this you are able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ. 5This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit: 6The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 7I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.
8This grace was given to me—the least of all the saints—to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ,
9and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things.
10This is so that God’s multi-faceted wisdom may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens.
11This is according to his eternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12In him we have boldness and confident access through faith in him.
13So then I ask you not to be discouraged over my afflictions on your behalf, for they are your glory.
New Living Translation
Chapter 3
1When I think of all this, I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you Gentiles . . . 2assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you Gentiles. 3As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. 4As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. 5God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.
6And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.
7By God’s grace and mighty power, I have been given the privilege of serving him by spreading this Good News.
8Though I am the least deserving of all God’s people, he graciously gave me the privilege of telling the Gentiles about the endless treasures available to them in Christ.
9I was chosen to explain to everyone this mysterious plan that God, the Creator of all things, had kept secret from the beginning.

Chapter 3
1For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles — 2assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God 's grace that was given to me for you, 3how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. 4When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. 6This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.
7Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God 's grace, which was given me by the working of his power.
8To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things,
10so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
11This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,
12in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.
13So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
New International Version
2Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
3that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
4In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
5which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.
6This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
7I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.
8Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,
9and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
13I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
