Chapter 6

10Then the king said to Haman, 'Quickly, take the robe and the horse just as you have said, and do so for Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting at the king’s gate; do not fail to do anything of all that you have said.' 11So Haman took the robe and the horse, and dressed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city square, and proclaimed before him, 'So it shall be done for the man whom the king desires to honor.'
12Then Mordecai returned to the king’s gate, while Haman hurried home, mourning, with his head covered. 13And Haman informed Zeresh his wife and all his friends of everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him, 'If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish origin, you will not prevail over him, but will certainly fall before him.'
14While they were still talking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived and quickly brought Haman to the banquet which Esther had prepared.

Chapter 6

10Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken.
11Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour.
12And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. 13And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.
14And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared.

Chapter 6

10The king told Haman, "Hurry, and do just as you proposed. Take a garment and a horse for Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting at the King’s Gate. Do not leave out anything you have suggested."
11So Haman took the garment and the horse. He clothed Mordecai and paraded him through the city square, crying out before him, "This is what is done for the man the king wants to honor."
12Then Mordecai returned to the King’s Gate, but Haman hurried off for home, mournful and with his head covered. 13Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened. His advisers and his wife Zeresh said to him, "Since Mordecai is Jewish, and you have begun to fall before him, you won’t overcome him, because your downfall is certain." 14While they were still speaking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived and rushed Haman to the banquet Esther had prepared.

Chapter 6

10Excellent!' the king said to Haman. 'Quick! Take the robes and my horse, and do just as you have said for Mordecai the Jew, who sits at the gate of the palace. Leave out nothing you have suggested!'
11So Haman took the robes and put them on Mordecai, placed him on the king’s own horse, and led him through the city square, shouting, 'This is what the king does for someone he wishes to honor!' 12Afterward Mordecai returned to the palace gate, but Haman hurried home dejected and completely humiliated.
13When Haman told his wife, Zeresh, and all his friends what had happened, his wise advisers and his wife said, 'Since Mordecai — this man who has humiliated you — is of Jewish birth, you will never succeed in your plans against him. It will be fatal to continue opposing him.'
14While they were still talking, the king’s eunuchs arrived and quickly took Haman to the banquet Esther had prepared.

11So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, "This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!"
12Afterward Mordecai returned to the king’s gate. But Haman rushed home, with his head covered in grief,
13and told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him. His advisers and his wife Zeresh said to him, "Since Mordecai, before whom your downfall has started, is of Jewish origin, you cannot stand against him—you will surely come to ruin!" 14While they were still talking with him, the king’s eunuchs arrived and hurried Haman away to the banquet Esther had prepared.
