Chapter 40

17Now in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected. 18Moses erected the tabernacle and laid its bases, and set up its boards, and inserted its bars, and erected its pillars. 19And he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses. 20Then he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and attached the poles to the ark, and put the atoning cover on top of the ark.

17And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up. 18And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars. 19And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the Lord commanded Moses. 20And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:

17The tabernacle was set up in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month. 18Moses set up the tabernacle: He laid its bases, positioned its supports, inserted its crossbars, and set up its pillars. 19Then he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
20Moses took the testimony and placed it in the ark, and attached the poles to the ark. He set the mercy seat on top of the ark.

17So the Tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year. 18Moses erected the Tabernacle by setting down its bases, inserting the frames, attaching the crossbars, and setting up the posts. 19Then he spread the coverings over the Tabernacle framework and put on the protective layers, just as the Lord had commanded him.
20He took the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant and placed them inside the Ark. Then he attached the carrying poles to the Ark, and he set the Ark’s cover — the place of atonement — on top of it.
