Chapter 40
3You shall place the ark of the testimony there, and you shall screen off the ark with the veil. 4Then you shall bring in the table and arrange what belongs on it; and you shall bring in the lampstand and mount its lamps. 5You shall also set the gold altar of incense in front of the ark of the testimony, and set up the curtain for the doorway to the tabernacle. 6And you shall set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting. 7Then you shall set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 8You shall also set up the courtyard all around and hang up the curtain for the gate of the courtyard. 9Then you shall take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything that is in it, and consecrate it and all its furnishings; and it shall be holy. 10You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and consecrate the altar, and the altar shall be most holy. 11And you shall anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it. 12Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons to the doorway of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. 13And you shall put the holy garments on Aaron and anoint him and consecrate him, so that he may serve as a priest to Me. 14You shall also bring his sons and put tunics on them; 15and you shall anoint them just as you have anointed their father, so that they may serve as priests to Me; and their anointing will qualify them for a permanent priesthood throughout their generations.' 16So Moses did these things; according to all that the Lord had commanded him, so he did.
17Now in the first month of the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was erected.
18Moses erected the tabernacle and laid its bases, and set up its boards, and inserted its bars, and erected its pillars.
19And he spread the tent over the tabernacle and put the covering of the tent on top of it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
20Then he took the testimony and put it into the ark, and attached the poles to the ark, and put the atoning cover on top of the ark.
21He then brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up a veil for the covering, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
22He also put the table in the tent of meeting on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the veil.
23And he set the arrangement of bread in order on it before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
24Then he placed the lampstand in the tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.
25And he lighted the lamps before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
26Then he placed the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the veil;
27and he burned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
28Then he set up the curtain for the doorway of the tabernacle.
29And he set the altar of burnt offering in front of the doorway of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

12And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and wash them with water.
13And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him; that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
14And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats:
15And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
16Thus did Moses: according to all that the Lord commanded him, so did he.
17And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.
18And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars.
19And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the Lord commanded Moses.
20And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:
21And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the Lord commanded Moses.
22And he put the table in the tent of the congregation, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the vail.
23And he set the bread in order upon it before the Lord; as the Lord had commanded Moses.
24And he put the candlestick in the tent of the congregation, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
25And he lighted the lamps before the Lord; as the Lord commanded Moses.

9"Take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything in it; consecrate it along with all its furnishings so that it will be holy.
10Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils; consecrate the altar so that it will be especially holy.
11Anoint the basin and its stand and consecrate it.
12"Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.
13Clothe Aaron with the holy garments, anoint him, and consecrate him, so that he can serve me as a priest.
14Have his sons come forward and clothe them in tunics.
15Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may also serve me as priests. Their anointing will serve to inaugurate a permanent priesthood for them throughout their generations."
16Moses did everything just as the Lord had commanded him.

Chapter 40
3Place the Ark of the Covenant inside, and install the inner curtain to enclose the Ark within the Most Holy Place. 4Then bring in the table, and arrange the utensils on it. And bring in the lampstand, and set up the lamps.
5Place the gold incense altar in front of the Ark of the Covenant. Then hang the curtain at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
6Place the altar of burnt offering in front of the Tabernacle entrance.
7Set the washbasin between the Tabernacle and the altar, and fill it with water.
8Then set up the courtyard around the outside of the tent, and hang the curtain for the courtyard entrance.
9Take the anointing oil and anoint the Tabernacle and all its furnishings to consecrate them and make them holy.
10Anoint the altar of burnt offering and its utensils to consecrate them. Then the altar will become absolutely holy.
11Next anoint the washbasin and its stand to consecrate them.
12Present Aaron and his sons at the entrance of the Tabernacle, and wash them with water.
13Dress Aaron with the sacred garments and anoint him, consecrating him to serve me as a priest.
14Then present his sons and dress them in their tunics.
15Anoint them as you did their father, so they may also serve me as priests. With their anointing, Aaron’s descendants are set apart for the priesthood forever, from generation to generation.'
16Moses proceeded to do everything just as the Lord had commanded him.
17So the Tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month of the second year.
18Moses erected the Tabernacle by setting down its bases, inserting the frames, attaching the crossbars, and setting up the posts.
19Then he spread the coverings over the Tabernacle framework and put on the protective layers, just as the Lord had commanded him.
20He took the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant and placed them inside the Ark. Then he attached the carrying poles to the Ark, and he set the Ark’s cover — the place of atonement — on top of it.
21Then he brought the Ark of the Covenant into the Tabernacle and hung the inner curtain to shield it from view, just as the Lord had commanded him.
22Next Moses placed the table in the Tabernacle, along the north side of the Holy Place, just outside the inner curtain.
23And he arranged the Bread of the Presence on the table before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded him.
24He set the lampstand in the Tabernacle across from the table on the south side of the Holy Place.
25Then he lit the lamps in the Lord’s presence, just as the Lord had commanded him.
26He also placed the gold incense altar in the Tabernacle, in the Holy Place in front of the inner curtain.
27On it he burned the fragrant incense, just as the Lord had commanded him.
