Chapter 11
3who say, ‘ The time is not near to build houses. This city is the pot and we are the meat.’ 4Therefore, prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!'
5Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and He said to me, 'Say, ‘This is what the Lord says: 'This is how you think, house of Israel, for I know your thoughts.
6You have multiplied your slain in this city, and filled its streets with them.'
7Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: 'Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the city are the meat and this city is the pot; but I will bring you out of it.
8You have feared a sword; so I will bring a sword upon you,' the Lord God declares.
9And I will bring you out of the midst of the city, and hand you over to strangers, and execute judgments against you.

8Ye have feared the sword; and I will bring a sword upon you, saith the Lord God.
9And I will bring you out of the midst thereof, and deliver you into the hands of strangers, and will execute judgments among you.

5Then the Spirit of the Lord came on me, and he told me, "You are to say, ‘This is what the Lord says: That is what you are thinking, house of Israel; and I know the thoughts that arise in your mind.
6You have multiplied your slain in this city, filling its streets with them.
7"‘Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: The slain you have put within it are the meat, and the city is the pot, but I will take you out of it.
8You fear the sword, so I will bring the sword against you. This is the declaration of the Lord God.
9I will take you out of the city and hand you over to foreigners; I will execute judgments against you.

3They say to the people, ‘Is it not a good time to build houses? This city is like an iron pot. We are safe inside it like meat in a pot. ’ 4Therefore, son of man, prophesy against them loudly and clearly.'
5Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon me, and he told me to say, 'This is what the Lord says to the people of Israel: I know what you are saying, for I know every thought that comes into your minds.
6You have murdered many in this city and filled its streets with the dead.
7Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: This city is an iron pot all right, but the pieces of meat are the victims of your injustice. As for you, I will soon drag you from this pot.
8I will bring on you the sword of war you so greatly fear, says the Sovereign Lord.
9I will drive you out of Jerusalem and hand you over to foreigners, who will carry out my judgments against you.
