Chapter 24
9Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: 'Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the wood pile great. 10Heap on the wood, kindle the fire, Cook the meat thoroughly And mix in the spices, And let the bones be burned up. 11Then set it empty on its burning coals So that it may be hot And its bronze may glow, And its filthiness may be melted in it, Its rust eliminated. 12She has wearied Me with work, Yet her great rust has not gone from her; Let her rust be in the fire!King James Version

9"‘Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: Woe to the city of bloodshed! I myself will make the pile of kindling large. 10Pile on the logs and kindle the fire! Cook the meat well and mix in the spices! Let the bones be burned! 11Set the empty pot on its coals so that it becomes hot and its copper glows. Then its impurity will melt inside it; its corrosion will be consumed. 12It has frustrated every effort; its thick corrosion will not come off. Into the fire with its corrosion!New Living Translation

9'This is what the Sovereign Lord says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! I myself will pile up the fuel beneath her. 10Yes, heap on the wood! Let the fire roar to make the pot boil. Cook the meat with many spices, and afterward burn the bones. 11Now set the empty pot on the coals. Heat it red hot! Burn away the filth and corruption. 12But it’s hopeless; the corruption can’t be cleaned out. So throw it into the fire.English Standard Version
