Chapter 28
2Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre, ‘The Lord God says this: 'Because your heart is haughty And you have said, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods In the heart of the seas’; Yet you are a mortal and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God— 3Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you! 4By your wisdom and understanding You have acquired riches for yourself And have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries. 5By your great wisdom, by your trade You have increased your riches, And your heart is haughty because of your riches— 6Therefore this is what the Lord God says: ‘Because you have made your heart Like the heart of God, 7Therefore, behold, I am going to bring strangers against you, The most ruthless of the nations. And they will draw their swords Against the beauty of your wisdom And profane your splendor. 8They will bring you down to the pit, And you will die the death of those who are killed In the heart of the seas. 9Will you still say, 'I am a god,' In the presence of one who kills you, Though you are a mortal and not God, In the hands of those who wound you? 10You will die the death of the uncircumcised By the hand of strangers, For I have spoken!’ declares the Lord God!'?’?'King James Version

Chapter 28
2"Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, ‘This is what the Lord God says: Your heart is proud, and you have said, "I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the heart of the sea." Yet you are a man and not a god, though you have regarded your heart as that of a god. 3Yes, you are wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you! 4By your wisdom and understanding you have acquired wealth for yourself. You have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries. 5By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, but your heart has become proud because of your wealth.
6"‘Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: Because you regard your heart as that of a god,
7I am about to bring strangers against you, ruthless men from the nations. They will draw their swords against your magnificent wisdom and will pierce your splendor.
8They will bring you down to the Pit, and you will die a violent death in the heart of the sea.
9Will you still say, "I am a god," in the presence of those who slay you? Yet you will be only a man, not a god, in the hands of those who kill you.
New Living Translation
Chapter 28
2Son of man, give the prince of Tyre this message from the Sovereign Lord: 'In your great pride you claim, ‘I am a god! I sit on a divine throne in the heart of the sea.’ But you are only a man and not a god, though you boast that you are a god. 3You regard yourself as wiser than Daniel and think no secret is hidden from you. 4With your wisdom and understanding you have amassed great wealth — gold and silver for your treasuries. 5Yes, your wisdom has made you very rich, and your riches have made you very proud.
6'Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you think you are as wise as a god,
7I will now bring against you a foreign army, the terror of the nations. They will draw their swords against your marvelous wisdom and defile your splendor!
8They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die in the heart of the sea, pierced with many wounds.
9Will you then boast, ‘I am a god!’ to those who kill you? To them you will be no god but merely a man!
10You will die like an outcast at the hands of foreigners. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!'
English Standard Version
3 you are indeed wiser than Daniel; no secret is hidden from you;
4by your wisdom and your understanding you have made wealth for yourself, and have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries;
5by your great wisdom in your trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth —
6therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you make your heart like the heart of a god,
7therefore, behold, I will bring foreigners upon you, the most ruthless of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor.
8 They shall thrust you down into the pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas.
9 Will you still say, ‘I am a god,’ in the presence of those who kill you, though you are but a man, and no god, in the hands of those who slay you?
10 You shall die the death of the uncircumcised by the hand of foreigners; for I have spoken, declares the Lord God."

Chapter 28
2“Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Because your heart is lifted up, And you say, ‘I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,’ Yet you are a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a god 3(Behold, you are wiser than Daniel! There is no secret that can be hidden from you! 4With your wisdom and your understanding You have gained riches for yourself, And gathered gold and silver into your treasuries; 5 By your great wisdom in trade you have increased your riches, And your heart is lifted up because of your riches),”
6‘Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Because you have set your heart as the heart of a god,
7Behold, therefore, I will bring strangers against you, The most terrible of the nations; And they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, And defile your splendor.
8They shall throw you down into the Pit, And you shall die the death of the slain In the midst of the seas.
9“Will you still say before him who slays you, ‘I am a god’? But you shall be a man, and not a god, In the hand of him who slays you.
10You shall die the death of the uncircumcised By the hand of aliens; For I have spoken,” says the Lord God.’ ”
