Chapter 28
4By your wisdom and understanding You have acquired riches for yourself And have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries. 5By your great wisdom, by your trade You have increased your riches, And your heart is haughty because of your riches— 6Therefore this is what the Lord God says: ‘Because you have made your heart Like the heart of God, 7Therefore, behold, I am going to bring strangers against you, The most ruthless of the nations. And they will draw their swords Against the beauty of your wisdom And profane your splendor. 8They will bring you down to the pit, And you will die the death of those who are killed In the heart of the seas.King James Version

4By your wisdom and understanding you have acquired wealth for yourself. You have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries. 5By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, but your heart has become proud because of your wealth.
6"‘Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: Because you regard your heart as that of a god,
7I am about to bring strangers against you, ruthless men from the nations. They will draw their swords against your magnificent wisdom and will pierce your splendor.
8They will bring you down to the Pit, and you will die a violent death in the heart of the sea.

4With your wisdom and understanding you have amassed great wealth — gold and silver for your treasuries. 5Yes, your wisdom has made you very rich, and your riches have made you very proud.
6'Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you think you are as wise as a god,
7I will now bring against you a foreign army, the terror of the nations. They will draw their swords against your marvelous wisdom and defile your splendor!
8They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die in the heart of the sea, pierced with many wounds.

4by your wisdom and your understanding you have made wealth for yourself, and have gathered gold and silver into your treasuries; 5by your great wisdom in your trade you have increased your wealth, and your heart has become proud in your wealth — 6therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you make your heart like the heart of a god, 7therefore, behold, I will bring foreigners upon you, the most ruthless of the nations; and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and defile your splendor. 8 They shall thrust you down into the pit, and you shall die the death of the slain in the heart of the seas.New International Version
