Ezekiel 35:5-13
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 35
5Since you have had everlasting hostility and have turned over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their disaster, at the time of the punishment of the end, 6therefore as I live,' declares the Lord God, 'I will certainly doom you to bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you. 7I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will eliminate from it one who passes through and returns. 8I will fill its mountains with its slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys, and in all your ravines. 9I will make you a permanent desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10Since you have said, ‘These two nations and these two lands will be mine, and we will possess them,’ although the Lord was there,
11therefore as I live,' declares the Lord God, 'I will deal with you according to your anger and according to your envy which you displayed because of your hatred for them; so I will make Myself known among them when I judge you.
12Then you will know that I, the Lord, have heard all your insults which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel saying, ‘They are desolate; they have been given to us as food.’
13And you have spoken arrogantly against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; I Myself have heard it.'
King James Version
Chapter 35
5Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: 6Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. 7Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. 8And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. 9I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
10Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the Lord was there:
11Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord God, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee.
12And thou shalt know that I am the Lord, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume.
13Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them.

Chapter 35
5"‘Because you maintained a perpetual hatred and gave the Israelites over to the power of the sword in the time of their disaster, the time of final punishment, 6therefore, as I live—this is the declaration of the Lord God —I will destine you for bloodshed, and it will pursue you. Since you did not hate bloodshed, it will pursue you. 7I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste and will cut off from it those who come and go. 8I will fill its mountains with the slain; those slain by the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys, and in all your ravines. 9I will make you a perpetual desolation; your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10"‘Because you said, "These two nations and two lands will be mine, and we will possess them"—though the Lord was there —
11therefore, as I live—this is the declaration of the Lord God —I will treat you according to the anger and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them. I will make myself known among them when I judge you.
12Then you will know that I, the Lord, have heard all the blasphemies you uttered against the mountains of Israel, saying, "They are desolate. They have been given to us to devour!"
13You boasted against me with your mouth, and spoke many words against me. I heard it myself!
New Living Translation
Chapter 35
5Your eternal hatred for the people of Israel led you to butcher them when they were helpless, when I had already punished them for all their sins. 6As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, since you show no distaste for blood, I will give you a bloodbath of your own. Your turn has come! 7I will make Mount Seir utterly desolate, killing off all who try to escape and any who return. 8I will fill your mountains with the dead. Your hills, your valleys, and your ravines will be filled with people slaughtered by the sword. 9I will make you desolate forever. Your cities will never be rebuilt. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10For you said, ‘The lands of Israel and Judah will be ours. We will take possession of them. What do we care that the Lord is there!’
11Therefore, as surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will pay back your angry deeds with my own. I will punish you for all your acts of anger, envy, and hatred. And I will make myself known to Israel by what I do to you.
12Then you will know that I, the Lord, have heard every contemptuous word you spoke against the mountains of Israel. For you said, ‘They are desolate; they have been given to us as food to eat!’
13In saying that, you boasted proudly against me, and I have heard it all!

Chapter 35
5" ‘Because you harbored an ancient hostility and delivered the Israelites over to the sword at the time of their calamity, the time their punishment reached its climax, 6therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will give you over to bloodshed and it will pursue you. Since you did not hate bloodshed, bloodshed will pursue you. 7I will make Mount Seir a desolate waste and cut off from it all who come and go. 8I will fill your mountains with the slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines. 9I will make you desolate forever; your towns will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
10" ‘Because you have said, "These two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession of them," even though I the Lord was there,
11therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you.
12Then you will know that I the Lord have heard all the contemptible things you have said against the mountains of Israel. You said, "They have been laid waste and have been given over to us to devour."
13You boasted against me and spoke against me without restraint, and I heard it.
