Ezekiel 39:22-26
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 39
22And the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God, from that day onward. 23The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile for their wrongdoing, because they were disloyal to Me, and I hid My face from them; so I handed them over to their adversaries, and all of them fell by the sword. 24In accordance with their uncleanness and their offenses I dealt with them, and I hid My face from them.'?’?'
25Therefore this is what the Lord God says: 'Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on all the house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name.
26They will forget their disgrace and all their treachery which they perpetrated against Me, when they live securely on their own land with no one to make them afraid.
King James Version
Chapter 39
22So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day and forward. 23And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. 24According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
25Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
26After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.

Chapter 39
22From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God. 23And the nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile on account of their iniquity, because they dealt unfaithfully with me. Therefore, I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, so that they all fell by the sword. 24I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and transgressions, and I hid my face from them.
25"So this is what the Lord God says: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have compassion on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.
26They will feel remorse for their disgrace and all the unfaithfulness they committed against me, when they live securely in their land with no one to frighten them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 39
22And from that time on the people of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God. 23The nations will then know why Israel was sent away to exile — it was punishment for sin, for they were unfaithful to their God. Therefore, I turned away from them and let their enemies destroy them. 24I turned my face away and punished them because of their defilement and their sins.
25So now, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will end the captivity of my people ; I will have mercy on all Israel, for I jealously guard my holy reputation!
26They will accept responsibility for their past shame and unfaithfulness after they come home to live in peace in their own land, with no one to bother them.
English Standard Version
Chapter 39
22The house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward. 23And the nations shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity, because they dealt so treacherously with me that I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their adversaries, and they all fell by the sword. 24I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their transgressions, and hid my face from them.
25"Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.
26They shall forget their shame and all the treachery they have practiced against me, when they dwell securely in their land with none to make them afraid,

Chapter 39
22So the house of Israel shall know that I am the Lord their God from that day forward. 23The Gentiles shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity; because they were unfaithful to Me, therefore I hid My face from them. I gave them into the hand of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. 24According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions I have dealt with them, and hidden My face from them.” ’
25“Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Now I will bring back the captives of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for My holy name—
