Chapter 42

14When the priests enter, they shall not go out into the outer courtyard from the sanctuary without laying their garments there in which they minister, for they are holy. They shall put on other garments; then they shall approach that which is for the people.'
15Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he brought me out by way of the gate which faced east, and measured it all around. 16He measured on the east side with the measuring rod: five hundred rods by the measuring rod. 17He measured on the north side: five hundred rods by the measuring rod. 18On the south side he measured five hundred rods with the measuring rod. 19He turned to the west side and measured five hundred rods with the measuring rod.

Chapter 42

14When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people.
15Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about. 16He measured the east side with the measuring reed, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 17He measured the north side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed round about. 18He measured the south side, five hundred reeds, with the measuring reed. 19He turned about to the west side, and measured five hundred reeds with the measuring reed.

Chapter 42

14Once the priests have entered, they are not to go out from the holy area to the outer court until they have removed the clothes they minister in, for these are holy. They are to put on other clothes before they approach the public area."
15When he finished measuring inside the temple complex, he led me out by way of the gate that faced east and measured all around the complex.
16He measured the east side with a measuring rod; it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.
17He measured the north side; it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.
18He measured the south side; it was 875 feet by the measuring rod.
19Then he turned to the west side and measured 875 feet by the measuring rod.

Chapter 42

14When the priests leave the sanctuary, they must not go directly to the outer courtyard. They must first take off the clothes they wore while ministering, because these clothes are holy. They must put on other clothes before entering the parts of the building complex open to the public.'
15When the man had finished measuring the inside of the Temple area, he led me out through the east gateway to measure the entire perimeter. 16He measured the east side with his measuring rod, and it was 875 feet long. 17Then he measured the north side, and it was also 875 feet. 18The south side was also 875 feet, 19and the west side was also 875 feet.
