New American Standard Bible
Chapter 48
19And the workers of the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. 20The whole allotment shall be twenty-five thousand by twenty-five thousand cubits; you shall set apart the holy allotment, a square, with the property of the city.
21The remainder shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy allotment and of the property of the city; in front of the twenty-five thousand cubits of the allotment toward the east border and westward in front of the twenty-five thousand toward the west border, alongside the portions, it shall be for the prince. And the holy allotment and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the middle of it.
22And exclusive of the property of the Levites and the property of the city, which are in the middle of that which belongs to the prince, everything between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin shall belong to the prince.
23As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one portion.
24Beside the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one portion.
25Beside the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one portion.
26Beside the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one portion.
27Beside the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one portion.
28And beside the border of Gad, at the south side toward the south, the border shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, to the Great Sea.
29This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for an inheritance, and these are their several portions,' declares the Lord God.
30Now these are the exits of the city: on the north side, 4,500 cubits by measurement,
31shall be the gates of the city, named for the tribes of Israel, three gates toward the north: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; and the gate of Levi, one.
32On the east side, 4,500 cubits, shall be three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; and the gate of Dan, one.
33On the south side, 4,500 cubits by measurement, shall be three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; and the gate of Zebulun, one.
34On the west side, 4,500 cubits, shall be three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; and the gate of Naphtali, one.
35The city shall be eighteen thousand cubits all around; and the name of the city from that day shall be, ‘ The Lord is there.’?'
King James Version
Chapter 48
19And they that serve the city shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel. 20All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city.
21And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of the city, over against the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof.
22Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.
23As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side unto the west side, Benjamin shall have a portion.
24And by the border of Benjamin, from the east side unto the west side, Simeon shall have a portion.
25And by the border of Simeon, from the east side unto the west side, Issachar a portion.
26And by the border of Issachar, from the east side unto the west side, Zebulun a portion.
27And by the border of Zebulun, from the east side unto the west side, Gad a portion.
28And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of strife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
29This is the land which ye shall divide by lot unto the tribes of Israel for inheritance, and these are their portions, saith the Lord God.
30And these are the goings out of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures.
31And the gates of the city shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
32And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: and three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan.
33And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures: and three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun.
34At the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.
35It was round about eighteen thousand measures: and the name of the city from that day shall be, The Lord is there.

Chapter 48
19The city’s workers from all the tribes of Israel will cultivate it. 20The entire donation will be 8? miles by 8? miles; you are to set apart the holy donation along with the city property as a square area.
21"The remaining area on both sides of the holy donation and the city property will belong to the prince. He will own the land adjacent to the tribal portions, next to the 8? miles of the donation as far as the eastern border and next to the 8? miles of the donation as far as the western border. The holy donation and the sanctuary of the temple will be in the middle of it.
22Except for the Levitical property and the city property in the middle of the area belonging to the prince, the area between the territory of Judah and that of Benjamin will belong to the prince.
26Next to the territory of Issachar, from the east side to the west, will be Zebulun—one portion.
27Next to the territory of Zebulun, from the east side to the west, will be Gad—one portion.
28Next to the territory of Gad toward the south side, the border will run from Tamar to the Waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the Brook of Egypt, and out to the Mediterranean Sea.
29This is the land you are to allot as an inheritance to Israel’s tribes, and these will be their portions." This is the declaration of the Lord God.
New Living Translation
Chapter 48
19Those who come from the various tribes to work in the city may farm it. 20This entire area — including the sacred lands and the city — is a square that measures 8 1/3 miles on each side.
21The areas that remain, to the east and to the west of the sacred lands and the city, will belong to the prince. Each of these areas will be 8 1/3 miles wide, extending in opposite directions to the eastern and western borders of Israel, with the sacred lands and the sanctuary of the Temple in the center.
22So the prince’s land will include everything between the territories allotted to Judah and Benjamin, except for the areas set aside for the sacred lands and the city.
23These are the territories allotted to the rest of the tribes. Benjamin’s territory lies just south of the prince’s lands, and it extends across the entire land of Israel from east to west.
24South of Benjamin’s territory lies that of Simeon, also extending across the land from east to west.
25Next is the territory of Issachar with the same eastern and western boundaries.
26Then comes the territory of Zebulun, which also extends across the land from east to west.
27The territory of Gad is just south of Zebulun with the same borders to the east and west.
28The southern border of Gad runs from Tamar to the waters of Meribah at Kadesh and then follows the Brook of Egypt to the Mediterranean.
30These will be the exits to the city: On the north wall, which is 1 1/2 miles long,
31there will be three gates, each one named after a tribe of Israel. The first will be named for Reuben, the second for Judah, and the third for Levi.
32On the east wall, also 1 1/2 miles long, the gates will be named for Joseph, Benjamin, and Dan.
33The south wall, also 1 1/2 miles long, will have gates named for Simeon, Issachar, and Zebulun.
34And on the west wall, also 1 1/2 miles long, the gates will be named for Gad, Asher, and Naphtali.

Chapter 48
19And the workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall till it. 20The whole portion that you shall set apart shall be 25,000 cubits square, that is, the holy portion together with the property of the city.
21"What remains on both sides of the holy portion and of the property of the city shall belong to the prince. Extending from the 25,000 cubits of the holy portion to the east border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the west border, parallel to the tribal portions, it shall belong to the prince. The holy portion with the sanctuary of the temple shall be in its midst.
22It shall be separate from the property of the Levites and the property of the city, which are in the midst of that which belongs to the prince. The portion of the prince shall lie between the territory of Judah and the territory of Benjamin.
23"As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west, Benjamin, one portion.
24Adjoining the territory of Benjamin, from the east side to the west, Simeon, one portion.
25Adjoining the territory of Simeon, from the east side to the west, Issachar, one portion.
26Adjoining the territory of Issachar, from the east side to the west, Zebulun, one portion.
27Adjoining the territory of Zebulun, from the east side to the west, Gad, one portion.
28And adjoining the territory of Gad to the south, the boundary shall run from Tamar to the waters of Meribah-kadesh, from there along the Brook of Egypt to the Great Sea.
29This is the land that you shall allot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions, declares the Lord God.
30"These shall be the exits of the city: On the north side, which is to be 4,500 cubits by measure,
31three gates, the gate of Reuben, the gate of Judah, and the gate of Levi, the gates of the city being named after the tribes of Israel.
32On the east side, which is to be 4,500 cubits, three gates, the gate of Joseph, the gate of Benjamin, and the gate of Dan.
33On the south side, which is to be 4,500 cubits by measure, three gates, the gate of Simeon, the gate of Issachar, and the gate of Zebulun.
34On the west side, which is to be 4,500 cubits, three gates, the gate of Gad, the gate of Asher, and the gate of Naphtali.
35The circumference of the city shall be 18,000 cubits. And the name of the city from that time on shall be, The Lord Is There."
New International Version
Chapter 48
19The workers from the city who farm it will come from all the tribes of Israel. 20The entire portion will be a square, 25,000 cubits on each side. As a special gift you will set aside the sacred portion, along with the property of the city.
21"What remains on both sides of the area formed by the sacred portion and the property of the city will belong to the prince. It will extend eastward from the 25,000 cubits of the sacred portion to the eastern border, and westward from the 25,000 cubits to the western border. Both these areas running the length of the tribal portions will belong to the prince, and the sacred portion with the temple sanctuary will be in the center of them.
22So the property of the Levites and the property of the city will lie in the center of the area that belongs to the prince. The area belonging to the prince will lie between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin.
New King James Version
Chapter 48
19The workers of the city, from all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it. 20The entire district shall be twenty-five thousand cubits by twenty-five thousand cubits, foursquare. You shall set apart the holy district with the property of the city.
21“The rest shall belong to the prince, on one side and on the other of the holy district and of the city’s property, next to the twenty-five thousand cubits of the holy district as far as the eastern border, and westward next to the twenty-five thousand as far as the western border, adjacent to the tribal portions; it shall belong to the prince. It shall be the holy district, and the sanctuary of the temple shall be in the center.
22Moreover, apart from the possession of the Levites and the possession of the city which are in the midst of what belongs to the prince, the area between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin shall belong to the prince.
23“As for the rest of the tribes, from the east side to the west, Benjamin shall have one section;
24by the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west, Simeon shall have one section;
25by the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west, Issachar shall have one section;

29This is the land which you shall divide by lot as an inheritance among the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions,” says the Lord God.
30“These are the exits of the city. On the north side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits
31(the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel), the three gates northward: one gate for Reuben, one gate for Judah, and one gate for Levi;
32on the east side, four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates: one gate for Joseph, one gate for Benjamin, and one gate for Dan;
33on the south side, measuring four thousand five hundred cubits, three gates: one gate for Simeon, one gate for Issachar, and one gate for Zebulun;
34on the west side, four thousand five hundred cubits with their three gates: one gate for Gad, one gate for Asher, and one gate for Naphtali.
35All the way around shall be eighteen thousand cubits; and the name of the city from that day shall be: THE Lord IS THERE.”
