Ezekiel 7:15-22
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 7
15The sword is outside the city and the plague and the famine are within. Anyone who is in the field will die by the sword, while famine and the plague will consume those in the city. 16Even when their survivors escape, they will be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, each over his own wrongdoing. 17All hands will hang limp, and all knees will drip with water. 18They will put on sackcloth and shuddering will overwhelm them; and shame will be on all faces, and a bald patch on all their heads. 19They will fling their silver into the streets, and their gold will become an abhorrent thing; their silver and their gold will not be able to save them on the day of the wrath of the Lord. They cannot satisfy their appetite, nor can they fill their stomachs, because their wrongdoing has become a cause of stumbling.
20Moreover, they transformed the splendor of His jewels into pride, and they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things with it; therefore I will make it an abhorrent thing to them.
21And I will hand it over to the foreigners as plunder, and to the wicked of the earth as spoils; and they will profane it.
22I will also turn My face away from them, and they will profane My treasure; then robbers will enter and profane it.
King James Version
Chapter 7
15The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him. 16But they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity. 17All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water. 18They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads. 19They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity. 20As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them. 21And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it. 22My face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 7
15The sword is on the outside; plague and famine are on the inside. Whoever is in the field will die by the sword, and famine and plague will devour whoever is in the city. 16The survivors among them will escape and live on the mountains. Like doves of the valley, all of them will moan, each over his own iniquity. 17All their hands will become weak, and all their knees will run with urine.
19They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will seem like something filthy. Their silver and gold will be unable to save them in the day of the Lord’s wrath. They will not satisfy their appetites or fill their stomachs, for these were the stumbling blocks that brought about their iniquity.
20He appointed his beautiful ornaments for majesty, but they made their detestable images from them, their abhorrent things. Therefore, I have made these into something filthy to them.
21I will hand these things over to foreigners as plunder and to the wicked of the earth as spoil, and they will profane them.
New Living Translation
Chapter 7
15There is war outside the city and disease and famine within. Those outside the city walls will be killed by enemy swords. Those inside the city will die of famine and disease. 16The survivors who escape to the mountains will moan like doves, weeping for their sins. 17Their hands will hang limp, their knees will be weak as water. 18They will dress themselves in burlap; horror and shame will cover them. They will shave their heads in sorrow and remorse.
19'They will throw their money in the streets, tossing it out like worthless trash. Their silver and gold won’t save them on that day of the Lord’s anger. It will neither satisfy nor feed them, for their greed can only trip them up.
20They were proud of their beautiful jewelry and used it to make detestable idols and vile images. Therefore, I will make all their wealth disgusting to them.
21I will give it as plunder to foreigners, to the most wicked of nations, and they will defile it.
22I will turn my eyes from them as these robbers invade and defile my treasured land.

Chapter 7
15Outside is the sword; inside are plague and famine. Those in the country will die by the sword; those in the city will be devoured by famine and plague. 16The fugitives who escape will flee to the mountains. Like doves of the valleys, they will all moan, each for their own sins. 17Every hand will go limp; every leg will be wet with urine.
18They will put on sackcloth and be clothed with terror. Every face will be covered with shame, and every head will be shaved.
19" ‘They will throw their silver into the streets, and their gold will be treated as a thing unclean. Their silver and gold will not be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath. It will not satisfy their hunger or fill their stomachs, for it has caused them to stumble into sin.
20They took pride in their beautiful jewelry and used it to make their detestable idols. They made it into vile images; therefore I will make it a thing unclean for them.
21I will give their wealth as plunder to foreigners and as loot to the wicked of the earth, who will defile it.
