Chapter 24

54Then he and the men who were with him ate and drank and spent the night. When they got up in the morning, he said, 'Send me away to my master.' 55But her brother and her mother said, 'Let the young woman stay with us a few days, say ten; afterward she may go.' 56However, he said to them, 'Do not delay me, since the Lord has prospered my way. Send me away so that I may go to my master.' 57And they said, 'We will call the young woman and ask her.' 58Then they called Rebekah and said to her, 'Will you go with this man?' And she said, 'I will go.' 59So they sent away their sister Rebekah and her nurse with Abraham’s servant and his men.
60And they blessed Rebekah and said to her, 'May you, our sister, Become thousands of ten thousands, And may your descendants possess The gate of those who hate them.'
61Then Rebekah got up with her female attendants, and they mounted the camels and followed the man. So the servant took Rebekah and departed.
62Now Isaac had come back from a journey to Beer-lahai-roi; for he was living in the Negev.

Chapter 24

54And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master. 55And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go. 56And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master. 57And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth. 58And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
59And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men. 60And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them. 61And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
62And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.

55But her brother and mother said, "Let the girl stay with us for about ten days. Then she can go."
56But he responded to them, "Do not delay me, since the Lord has made my journey a success. Send me away so that I may go to my master."
57So they said, "Let’s call the girl and ask her opinion."
58They called Rebekah and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" She replied, "I will go." 59So they sent away their sister Rebekah with the one who had nursed and raised her, and Abraham’s servant and his men.
60They blessed Rebekah, saying to her: Our sister, may you become thousands upon ten thousands. May your offspring possess the city gates of their enemies.
61Then Rebekah and her female servants got up, mounted the camels, and followed the man. So the servant took Rebekah and left.
62Now Isaac was returning from Beer-lahai-roi, for he was living in the Negev region.

Chapter 24

54Then they ate their meal, and the servant and the men with him stayed there overnight. But early the next morning, Abraham’s servant said, 'Send me back to my master.'
55But we want Rebekah to stay with us at least ten days,' her brother and mother said. 'Then she can go.'
56But he said, 'Don’t delay me. The Lord has made my mission successful; now send me back so I can return to my master.'
57Well,' they said, 'we’ll call Rebekah and ask her what she thinks.'
58So they called Rebekah. 'Are you willing to go with this man?' they asked her. And she replied, 'Yes, I will go.'
59So they said good-bye to Rebekah and sent her away with Abraham’s servant and his men. The woman who had been Rebekah’s childhood nurse went along with her.
60They gave her this blessing as she parted: 'Our sister, may you become the mother of many millions! May your descendants be strong and conquer the cities of their enemies.'
61Then Rebekah and her servant girls mounted the camels and followed the man. So Abraham’s servant took Rebekah and went on his way.
62Meanwhile, Isaac, whose home was in the Negev, had returned from Beer-lahai-roi.
