Chapter 39

7And it came about after these events that his master’s wife had her eyes on Joseph, and she said, 'Sleep with me.' 8But he refused and said to his master’s wife, 'Look, with me here, my master does not concern himself with anything in the house, and he has put me in charge of all that he owns.

7And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 8But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

8But he refused. "Look," he said to his master’s wife, "with me here my master does not concern himself with anything in his house, and he has put all that he owns under my authority.
