Chapter 46

2And God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, 'Jacob, Jacob.' And he said, 'Here I am.' 3Then He said, 'I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there. 4I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also assuredly bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes.'

2And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I. 3And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation: 4I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

2That night God spoke to Israel in a vision: "Jacob, Jacob!" he said. And Jacob replied, "Here I am."

2During the night God spoke to him in a vision. 'Jacob! Jacob!' he called. 'Here I am,' Jacob replied.
3I am God, the God of your father,' the voice said. 'Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make your family into a great nation. 4I will go with you down to Egypt, and I will bring you back again. You will die in Egypt, but Joseph will be with you to close your eyes.'
