Hebrews 4:8-11
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 4
8For if Joshua had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. 9Consequently, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10For the one who has entered His rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from His. 11Therefore let’s make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.King James Version
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 4
8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9Therefore, a Sabbath rest remains for God’s people. 10For the person who has entered his rest has rested from his own works, just as God did from his. 11Let us then make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall into the same pattern of disobedience.New Living Translation
Chapter 4
8Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would not have spoken about another day of rest still to come. 9So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. 10For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. 11So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.English Standard Version
