Chapter 10

4Nothing remains but to crouch among the captives Or fall among those killed. In spite of all this, His anger does not turn away And His hand is still stretched out. 5Woe to Assyria, the rod of My anger And the staff in whose hands is My indignation,

Chapter 10

4Without me they shall bow down under the prisoners, and they shall fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. 5O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.

Chapter 10

4There will be nothing to do except crouch among the prisoners or fall among the slain. In all this, his anger has not turned away, and his hand is still raised to strike. 5Woe to Assyria, the rod of my anger— the staff in their hands is my wrath.

Chapter 10

4You will stumble along as prisoners or lie among the dead. But even then the Lord’s anger will not be satisfied. His fist is still poised to strike.
5'What sorrow awaits Assyria, the rod of my anger. I use it as a club to express my anger.
