Isaiah 2:6-9
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 2
6For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with influences from the east, And they are soothsayers like the Philistines. They also strike bargains with the children of foreigners. 7Their land has also been filled with silver and gold And there is no end to their treasures; Their land has also been filled with horses, And there is no end to their chariots. 8Their land has also been filled with idols; They worship the work of their hands, That which their fingers have made. 9So the common person has been humbled And the person of importance has been brought low, But do not forgive them.King James Version
Christian Standard Bible
Chapter 2
6For you have abandoned your people, the house of Jacob, because they are full of divination from the East and of fortune-tellers like the Philistines. They are in league with foreigners. 7Their land is full of silver and gold, and there is no limit to their treasures; their land is full of horses, and there is no limit to their chariots. 8Their land is full of idols; they worship the work of their hands, what their fingers have made. 9So humanity is brought low, and each person is humbled. Do not forgive them!New Living Translation
Chapter 2
6For the Lord has rejected his people, the descendants of Jacob, because they have filled their land with practices from the East and with sorcerers, as the Philistines do. They have made alliances with pagans. 7Israel is full of silver and gold; there is no end to its treasures. Their land is full of warhorses; there is no end to its chariots. 8Their land is full of idols; the people worship things they have made with their own hands. 9So now they will be humbled, and all will be brought low — do not forgive them.English Standard Version
