Chapter 13

2So I bought the undergarment in accordance with the word of the Lord, and put it around my waist. 3Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, 4Take the undergarment that you bought, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a crevice of the rock.' 5So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord had commanded me. 6After many days the Lord said to me, 'Arise, go to the Euphrates and take from there the undergarment which I commanded you to hide there.'

2So I got a girdle according to the word of the Lord, and put it on my loins. 3And the word of the Lord came unto me the second time, saying, 4Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock. 5So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me. 6And it came to pass after many days, that the Lord said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.

2So I bought underwear as the Lord instructed me and put it on.
3Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time: 4"Take the underwear that you bought and are wearing, and go at once to the Euphrates and hide it in a rocky crevice." 5So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord commanded me.
6A long time later the Lord said to me, "Go at once to the Euphrates and get the underwear that I commanded you to hide there."

2So I bought the loincloth as the Lord directed me, and I put it on.
3Then the Lord gave me another message: 4Take the linen loincloth you are wearing, and go to the Euphrates River. Hide it there in a hole in the rocks.' 5So I went and hid it by the Euphrates as the Lord had instructed me.
6A long time afterward the Lord said to me, 'Go back to the Euphrates and get the loincloth I told you to hide there.'

3Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time: 4"Take the belt you bought and are wearing around your waist, and go now to Perath and hide it there in a crevice in the rocks." 5So I went and hid it at Perath, as the Lord told me.
6Many days later the Lord said to me, "Go now to Perath and get the belt I told you to hide there."
