Jeremiah 25:1-7
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 25
1
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
2
the word
which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
3
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years the word of the
Lord
has come to me, and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.
4
And the
Lord
has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear,
5
saying, ‘Turn now, everyone from his evil way and from the evil of your deeds, and live on the land which the
Lord
has given to you and your forefathers forever and ever;
6
and do not follow other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, then I will do you no harm.’
7
Yet you have not listened to Me,' declares the
Lord
, 'in order to provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.
King James Version
Chapter 25
1
The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon;
2
The which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying,
3
From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, even unto this day, that is the three and twentieth year, the word of the
Lord
hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4
And the
Lord
hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising early and sending them; but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear.
5
They said, Turn ye again now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that the
Lord
hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever:
6
And go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
7
Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith the
Lord
; that ye might provoke me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

Chapter 25
1
This is the word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah (which was the first year of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon).
2
The prophet Jeremiah spoke concerning all the people of Judah and all the residents of Jerusalem as follows:
3
"From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, until this very day—twenty-three years—the word of the
Lord
has come to me, and I have spoken to you time and time again, but you have not obeyed.
4
The
Lord
sent all his servants the prophets to you time and time again, but you have not obeyed or even paid attention.
5
He announced, ‘Turn, each of you, from your evil way of life and from your evil deeds. Live in the land the
Lord
gave to you and your ancestors long ago and forever.
6
Do not follow other gods to serve them and to bow in worship to them, and do not anger me by the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.
7
"‘But you have not obeyed me’—this is the
Lord
’s declaration—‘with the result that you have angered me by the work of your hands and brought disaster on yourselves.’
New Living Translation
Chapter 25
1
This message for all the people of Judah came to Jeremiah from the
Lord
during the fourth year of Jehoiakim’s reign over Judah. This was the year when King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon began his reign.
2
Jeremiah the prophet said to all the people in Judah and Jerusalem,
3
For the past twenty-three years — from the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, until now — the
Lord
has been giving me his messages. I have faithfully passed them on to you, but you have not listened.
4
Again and again the
Lord
has sent you his servants, the prophets, but you have not listened or even paid attention.
5
Each time the message was this: ‘Turn from the evil road you are traveling and from the evil things you are doing. Only then will I let you live in this land that the
Lord
gave to you and your ancestors forever.
6
Do not provoke my anger by worshiping idols you made with your own hands. Then I will not harm you.’
7
But you would not listen to me,' says the
Lord
. 'You made me furious by worshiping idols you made with your own hands, bringing on yourselves all the disasters you now suffer.
