Chapter 24

7They spend the night naked, without clothing, And have no covering against the cold. 8They are wet from the mountain rains, And they hug the rock for lack of a shelter. 9 Others snatch an orphan from the breast, And they seize it as a pledge against the poor.

Chapter 24

7They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
8They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for want of a shelter.
9They pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor.

Chapter 24

7Without clothing, they spend the night naked, having no covering against the cold. 8Drenched by mountain rains, they huddle against the rocks, shelterless. 9The fatherless infant is snatched from the breast; the nursing child of the poor is seized as collateral.

7All night they lie naked in the cold, without clothing or covering. 8They are soaked by mountain showers, and they huddle against the rocks for want of a home.
9'The wicked snatch a widow’s child from her breast, taking the baby as security for a loan.
