Job 5:4-10
New American Standard Bible
Chapter 5
4His sons are far from safety, They are also oppressed at the gate, And there is no one to save them. 5 The hungry devour his harvest And take it to a place of thorns, And the schemer is eager for their wealth. 6For disaster does not come from the dust, Nor does trouble sprout from the ground, 7For man is born for trouble, As sparks fly upward. 8'But as for me, I would seek God, And I would make my plea before God, 9Who does great and unsearchable things, Wonders without number. 10He gives rain on the earth, And sends water on the fields,King James Version

Chapter 5
4His children are far from safety. They are crushed at the city gate, with no one to rescue them. 5The hungry consume his harvest, even taking it out of the thorns. The thirsty pant for his children’s wealth. 6For distress does not grow out of the soil, and trouble does not sprout from the ground.New Living Translation
Chapter 5
4Their children are abandoned far from help; they are crushed in court with no one to defend them. 5The hungry devour their harvest, even when it is guarded by brambles. The thirsty pant after their wealth. 6But evil does not spring from the soil, and trouble does not sprout from the earth. 7People are born for trouble as readily as sparks fly up from a fire.English Standard Version
Chapter 5
4His children are far from safety; they are crushed in the gate, and there is no one to deliver them. 5The hungry eat his harvest, and he takes it even out of thorns, and the thirsty pant after his wealth. 6For affliction does not come from the dust, nor does trouble sprout from the ground, 7but man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward. 8"As for me, I would seek God, and to God would I commit my cause, 9who does great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number: 10he gives rain on the earth and sends waters on the fields;New International Version
