Chapter 16
29His disciples *said, 'See, now You are speaking plainly and are not using any figure of speech. 30Now we know that You know all things, and that You have no need for anyone to question You; this is why we believe that You came forth from God.' 31Jesus replied to them, 'Do you now believe? 32Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33These things I have spoken to you so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.'King James Version

29His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. 30Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. 31Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe 32Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. 29His disciples said, "Look, now you’re speaking plainly and not using any figurative language. 30Now we know that you know everything and don’t need anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God."
31Jesus responded to them, "Do you now believe?
32Indeed, an hour is coming, and has come, when each of you will be scattered to his own home, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
33I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world."

29Then his disciples said, 'At last you are speaking plainly and not figuratively. 30Now we understand that you know everything, and there’s no need to question you. From this we believe that you came from God.'
31Jesus asked, 'Do you finally believe?
32But the time is coming — indeed it’s here now — when you will be scattered, each one going his own way, leaving me alone. Yet I am not alone because the Father is with me.
33I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.'
